may: blooming, finishing strong, being undisturbed

hi lazies! it's somehow may, one of my favorite months but also my least favorite months. maybe when i'm done with school, may will be my favorite for sure. i love it because it's my birthday month but I hate it because I have exams every week.

things i'm looking forward to

this is a new section! let's see how it fares in the future, but here's some things I'm looking forward to.

  • finishing all my exams for sure
  • sleeping in the weekend school ends
  • getting my new book, the sun and the star, by rick riordan
  • my birthday!!
  • my trip to greece and india

what about you? what are you looking forward to? reply to this email, and let me know!

content from me

content from others i've been enjoying :)

  • @elif_codes on instagram, posts about her coding journey. I love the resources she links!
  • Saji Sharma is a commentary youtuber, and I've binge watched so many of his videos this weekend.

wise words of the month: the lazy gal edition

  • just becomes someone thinks of you a certain way, doesn't mean that's an accurate reflection of you
  • if you want to do something, do it. take the leap.

song recommendations

  • i've been listening to more kali uchis lately. a couple favorites are "hasta cuando", "not too late', and "love between".
  • only u by karri
  • and of course the weeknd

book recommendation + what I'm reading rn

I said earlier that I'm excited to read my new Rick Riordan book. It's shipped, so I should have it by next week. I need to read, hell bent, which is the sequel of ninth house by Leigh Bardugo. And I think Emily Henry released a new book, so hopefully I get my hands on a copy.

I haven't been reading much because of all my exams, so unfortunately whatever recommendations I had in my last newsletter, are the last books I've read.

upcoming events:

  • I have a guest podcast appearance on "in my thoughts podcast" later this month.
  • i'm doing a study series this month, email me back or dm on Instagram(@the_lazygal) if you have anything you want me to cover or write a post/record something about.
  • I'm looking for guest posts, whether that be in the blogging or podcast world. Email me or again dm me if you want to be on The Lazy Gal.

hi lazies this is a mid-year recap of 2024 and I am just wondering where the time has gone, and what is next in store. i'm writing this july 15, and half of the year is GONE. we will never get it back and what we've done from january to mid july is done and done. we can't do anything about it, no time travel, so the only thing from now on is paying attention to the present and the future. this could be starting a new hobby, business, or lifestyle. or working on an already existing one and...
